Why Ubisoft asks for a phone number

Ubisoft mostly verifies numbers to limit free trials and account sharing. A separate number keeps your personal one off promotional lists.

Good to know

A number is for one verification. If Ubisoft sends a new code to it later, you will not see it.
If you will use the account for a long time, add your own contact details in the Ubisoft settings after setup.
Following the Ubisoft rules is up to you; the number only keeps your own number private.
